My tag won't work. What should I do?

Phones need to be held very close to the ZAPA Reader to activate the ZAPA TAG. If your tag still does not work after tapping your phone you may need to get a new tag.

Simply pick up a new tag in your local ZAPA Outlet. Login to your account on the ZAPA TAG website. Click on the Replace Tag icon and follow the steps through. You will need to add the new tag to your account and then transfer your balances from the old tag to the new one.

Note: you must register your new tag and transfer your balances from your old tag to your new one before you use it for the first time. It is not possible to transfer points to a tag which has already been tapped.

Metal phones: A small number of mobile phones have metal covers. If you have placed your tag on the inside of your phone and your mobile has a metal cover this can affect communication between the tag and the reader. Phones with metal covers should always have tags affixed to the outside. If your tag still does not work you may need a new one.
